"WAVE'S 1943"

48thMaintenance Art

....Dedicated to the women who served
To the hands that "kept 'em flyin'", to the hearts and minds
that healed and inspired.
In 1991, aviation artist Sherry Lee had the privilege to meet
retired USN WAVE Marjorie Stark, who presented inspiring stories and
photographs, and shared the rewards and challenges of one
       servicewoman's contributions to her country.
Marjorie Stark served in the United States Navy from April 1951 through
April 1956 at various duty stations including Seattle, Treasure Island,
and Pearl Harbor. She performed a range of duties from personnel to
aiding wounded and disabled soldiers from the Korean War.
In her pencil/graphite portrait, Sherry Lee beautifully illustrates
with great detail a significant moment in the history of women veterans.
This limited edition print of 2500
has an overall size of 18" x 24" with
   an image area of 15" x 16 1/4".
Each print is individually signed by
both the artist and  USN WAVE Marjorie Stark.
