  Back in the day, before electric starters were invented, this was the procedure used to start an airplane: Flaps. . .  Rudders. . . Throttle. . . Fuel on. . . Magneto on. . . (Contact !) 

  Contact meant that the ignition switch was doing just that; making contact across the switch.

  This 8 1/2" x 11" print is limited to 30, and each print is individually signed by Army Veteran Douglas Curtiss.
